The most popular nozzles are still made of brass. Why? Because the material is quite cheap despite numerous positive characteristics.

High-precision nozzles out of a perfect allround material. The material conducts heat perfectly and does not corrode. The nozzles have the best conditions to process the most common materials like PLA, ABS, PETG and many more wonderfully. Unfortunately, brass is reaching its limits with abrasive particle materials. Metal, wood, carbon or Glow-in-the-Dark filaments make a brass nozzle worn out after less hours.

Nonetheless, the brass jets remain our absolute all-rounder and belong to every printer like the lightsaber to Luke.
